Turn a vertical Miro timeline into a horizontal project plan

Bring in the board, check what was read, then export a Gantt-style plan for decks, Miro or Excel. Everything runs in this page; nothing is uploaded.

1Bring in the timeline

How to get the JSON from Miro
  1. Copy the board ID from its address: miro.com/app/board/uXjV…=/. Write the trailing = as %3D.
  2. In Miro, open Settings → Your apps, create an app with boards:read, install it to your team and copy the access token. (Your Miro admin may need to allow this.)
  3. Run: curl -H "Authorization: Bearer TOKEN" "https://api.miro.com/v2/boards/BOARD_ID/items?limit=50"
  4. If the response has a cursor, run it again with &cursor=… added and paste each page in below the last.

Frames, sticky-note colours, positions, shape heights and card due dates are all used. Connectors and images are ignored.

2Check what was read

Converted items appear here for you to correct before exporting.

3Present and export

PNG drops straight onto a Miro board or a slide. SVG stays sharp and editable in PowerPoint (Convert to Shape). CSV opens in Excel, Smartsheet or MS Project.

The horizontal plan appears here after you convert.
